SHIPSHEWANA - Joseph L. Raber, 81, of Shipshewana, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018.
He was born Aug. 13, 1936, to Levi and Amelia (Yoder) Raber.
He married Martha Slabach; she survives.
Survivors also are sons Ervin, Glenn, LaVon and Joseph Raber Jr.; daughters Mary Lou Schwartz, Marlene Troyer and Sue Ann Miller; 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; sisters Ada Bontrager, Elizabeth Yoder, Katie Miller and Amanda Yoder; and a sister-in-law, Edna Raber.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two brothers.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, and all day Friday, Jan. 26, at the family’s residence, 0740 North 900 West Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, also at the family’s residence.
Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Raber, Levi J.
Aug. 12, 1938 - April 11, 2018
TOPEKA - Levi J. Raber, 79, of Topeka, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
He was born Aug. 12, 1938, in LaGrange County, to John and Anna (Yoder) Raber.
He married Betty Bontrager; she survives.
Survivors also are daughters Edna Sue (Ervin) Yoder, Inez (Harley) Yoder, Kathryn (David) Borkholder and Anna Marie (Perry) Miller of Shipshewana; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ervin (Clara) and Monroe (Naomi) Raber; sister Ida (Levi) Miller; and brother-in-law Mel (Alice) Frey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Matthew Yoder; and two sisters, Edna Frey and Sue Troyer.
Visitation will be all day Friday, April 13, at the David Borkholder residence, 8605 West 300 South, Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the same residence.
Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Raber, Mahlon M., 76, of Middlebury died at 5:35 pm on Tuesday, November 20, at the Willard Raber residence, following a battle with cancer. He was born on December 15, 1941, in LaGrange County to Melvin and Susie (Miller) Raber. On December 6, 1962 in Lagrange County he married Freida Marie Hostetler, she died November 8, 2017.
Surviving are four daughters, LeAnna (Lee) Bontrager and Treva (David) Lambright both of Shipshewana, Erma (Jonas, Jr.) Miller of Millersburg, Leah Fern (Dennis) Hochstetler of Bremen; three sons, Willard (Linda) Raber of Shipshewana, Maynard (Darlene) Raber of Middlebury, Mahlon (Jamie) Raber Jr. of Ligonier; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lydiann (Joe) Stutzman of LaGrange and Amanda (Mike) Helmuth of Topeka; brother, Levi (Irene) Raber of Wolcottville; two brother-in-laws, Glen (Carolyn) Lambright and Perry (Carolyn) Miller both of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sisters, Annie Lambright and Ada Miller.
Mahlon was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was a retired farmer and had owned Raber's Repair Shop and had most recently worked at a local buggy shop.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21, and all day Thursday, November 22, at the family's residence, 0570 N. 1000 W. Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, November 23, at the Mervin Wingard residence, 0635 N. 1000 W. Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Wilbur Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Middlebury.
Ramer, Anna Marie Zimmerman, 85, New Paris, died 1:58 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at her home, from complications of Ovarian Cancer. She was born Sept. 5, 1933, in Elkhart County, to Phares & Martha (Martin) Zimmerman. She married Titus Ramer on June 1, 1963.
Surviving are her husband, Titus, New Paris, sons, Durrell (Stephanie) Ramer, Madison, Wisconsin, C. Wade Ramer, Goshen, Jay (Natalie) Ramer, Toledo, Ohio, grandchildren, Adam and Sam Ramer, Madison, Wisconsin and siblings, Faye Etta Zimmerman, Wakarusa, Naomi (Thomas) Miller, Middlebury and Elvin Zimmerman, Dalton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Anna Marie attended Ontario Mennonite Bible School. She was a member of Mt. Joy Mennonite Church where she led Bible Study Fellowship, was active in the sewing circle and taught Sunday School. Anna Marie was a volunteer at Goshen Hospice and Menno-Hof in Shipshewana; coordinator of the local Wycliffe Bible Translators and a longtime member of the Harmony Singers Womens Chorus. Anna Marie worked as an OB Tech at Elkhart General Hospital and was a Nurses Aid at Greencroft.
The family would like to thank Goshen Hospice for their care and support.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at Mt. Joy Mennonite Church, 200 N. 23rd St., Goshen. Pastor Ben Shirk will officiate and burial will follow at Yellow Creek [Brick] Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Mt. GOSHEN - Annie H. Ramer, 59, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at her residence.
Annie was born Aug. 2, 1959, to Isaac M. and Emma (Hoover) Burkholder.
She married Amos H. Ramer. He survives as well as, daughter Marianna B. Ramer; brothers Phares Burkholder, Paul Burkholder, Isaac Burkholder Jr., and Amos Burkholder; sisters Cora Zimmerman, Lydia Zimmerman, Edith Zimmerman, Eleanor Zimmerman, and Esther Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Katie Burkholder.
Family and friends may call from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, and 2 - 4, and 6 - 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21 at her residence, 66211 C.R. 15, Goshen.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Yellow Creek Groffdale Conference Mennonite Church.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.

Ramer, Charlene K. Weaver, age 59, of Nappanee, died at 12:38 am, Friday, January 5, 2018 at her residence after a short illness. She was born February 21, 1958 in Wakarusa to Lowell and Doris (Martin) Weaver. On March 12, 1977, she married Marvin L. Ramer in Goshen.
Mrs. Ramer was a lifetime area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church.
Mrs. Ramer is survived by her husband, Marvin; children, Marvin Jay (Esther) Ramer Jr., Sauk Centre, MN, Andrew (Stephanie) Ramer, New Paris, Marilyn (Conrad) Martin, Millersburg, Rhoda Ramer, Kathleen Ramer, both of Nappanee, Susan (Eldon) Heatwole, Bremen, Devon (Laura) Ramer, Milford, Allen (Lisa) Ramer, New Paris, Kevin (Susannah) Ramer, Nappanee, Lorene (Brendan) Zimmerman, Akron, Arlin (Alyssa) Ramer, Goshen, Mark (Kayla) Ramer, New Paris, Linda Ramer, Nappanee; 48 grandchildren; mother, Doris Weaver, Goshen; sisters, Elaine (Harlan) Zimmerman, Akron, Mary Jane Weaver, Goshen; and brothers, Steven (Sheryl) Weaver, Goshen, Glenn (Ruth Ann) Weaver, Wakarusa.

ELKHART - Lydia Ann Ramer, 69, of Elkhart, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.
She was born Nov. 15, 1948, to Barton and Lydia Horst.
Surviving are her husband, Dana; children Ina Weaver, Elaine Imhoff, Arlin Ramer, Vivian Imhoff and Dana Harold Ramer; 38 grandchildren; nine siblings, Florence Kulp, Melvin Horst, Sarah Hoover, Edwin Horst, Ida Martin, Ella Horning, James Horst, Laura Zimmerman and Miriam Garman.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a stillborn daughter; two grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 and Sunday, Jan. 21, at the family residence, 28442 C.R. 30, Elkhart.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at the Yellow Creek Old Order Mennonite Church, Goshen.
Burial will follow in the Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.

Ramseyer, Joseph Woodrow, 87, of Goshen died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Maples at Waterford Crossing.
He was born October 9, 1930 to William and Gladys (Salzman) Ramseyer, in Baden, Ontario, Canada.
After leaving school, Woody worked at Hollman Piano Co. in Kitchener, Ontario, while attending classes at a machinist’s school.
In 1953 he volunteered for a three year service term with Mennonite Central Committee, and was sent to South Korea following the war.
His work there was primarily at the MCC Vocational School for orphaned boys, near Tague, Korea. He also was involved in MCC food and clothing distributions and helping to set up food and milk kitchens at other orphanages, schools, churches and refugee camps in the area.
It was in Tague he met Lois a nurse from Colorado, also serving a three year term with MCC. They were married Sept 21,1956 in Tokyo, Japan. After returning to the US, Woody and Lois lived in Ontario for 6 months before moving to Goshen.
They were members of the College Mennonite Church.
Woody was a toolroom machinist at Goshen Rubber for 39 years. He retired at age 71 but continued to do small jobs from his home-based machine shop.
He leaves three children, Sharon (Jon) Sivanich of Mesa, Arizona, Beth (Tim) Robie of Goshen and Rob Ramseyer of Albuquerque, New Mexico, five grandchildren, Ian (Norma) Robie of Houston, Texas, Emily (Glen) Judd of Sauk City, Wisconsin, and Sawyer, Piper, and Scout Sivanich of Mesa, Arizona; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, a sister and a great grandson.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 20, 2018 one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Pamela Yoder, College Mennonite Church, will officiate.
A private burial will take place at the Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.

Redcay, Anna Lois Shirk, 76, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. She was born in Myerstown to the late Chester and Anna (Horning) Shirk.
She was a member of the Alive Church, Ephrata. Lois was an LPN for Ephrata Community Hospital for 40 years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed playing cards, as well as other games and dining with friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by a son, Gary, husband of Jennifer Lynn (Heistand) Redcay of Lititz; 8 grandchildren, Andrew, Amber, Aubree, Daniel, Hope, Letty, David and Aaniyah Redcay; 2 great-grandchildren, Eddie and Mia Medina and a brother, Arthur, husband of Ruth Shirk of Robesonia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Miriam Groff and Sarah Lehman.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 6 to 8 PM at the Alive Church, 510 Stevens Road, Ephrata. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 AM at the Alive Church, with Pastor Jeffrey High officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Redcay, Randall L., 62 of Reading, PA passed away on, September, 30, 2018 after years of battling addiction. Born July 25, 1956 in Epharta PA he was the son of Ruth M. Redcay of Ephrata and the late Amos N. Redcay.
Besides his mother, he is survived by five sisters, Mary Ann Ruth, Carlisle, PA, Karen Musser (Brian), Narvon, PA, Bonnie Weber (Skip), Reading, PA, Marcy Whiteman (Rich), Todd, PA, and Amy Weaver (Dennis), Ephrata, PA, 15 nephews and nieces, and 15 great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Redcay, and a sister, Kathy Redcay.
Randy attended Twin Valley High School and graduated from Lancaster Mennonite School in 1974. Randy worked as a stone mason for most of his life and loved sharing stories about working with his dad and uncles. He was a sports enthusiast and spent many years pitching for various fast pitch softball leagues in both Berks and Lancaster counties.
Randy loved to make people laugh and had an uncanny way of telling jokes. He was quite the story teller and would talk to anyone who had a listening ear. He loved people and always had nice things to say about everyone. He was extremely generous and was always willing to give someone his last dollar.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 7 from 4-5 pm at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, followed by a memorial service at 5 pm. A private burial will be held at Conestoga Mennonite Cemetery.

Vernon R. Regier, 89, died Friday (March 23, 2018) at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Burrton to Otto and Marie Regier. Vernon was an auto mechanic who loved cars and racing. He was a member of Kingdom Life Church and a longtime Hesston resident.
Vernon married Hilda Woelk in 1955. She died Dec. 28, 2007.
Vernon is survived by daughter, Joann Rutledge and husband John of St. Louis; son, Delbert Regier and wife Wendy of Newton; daughter-in-law, Teri Regier of Newton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda; his parents; brother, Arlie; and son, Roy.

Adam Daniel Reiff, 7, son of Daryl G. and the late Lorissa Newswanger Reiff of Annville, PA, passed away in Lycoming County from an accidental drown[ing] on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He was born in New York City on May 2, 2011.
Surviving in addition to his father are paternal grandparents, Wilmer and Lorraine Reiff of Annville, PA; maternal grandparents, John and Louise Newswanger of Robesonia, PA; paternal great grandmother, Martha Good of Ephrata, PA; maternal great grandparents, Phares and Katie Newswanger of Newmanstown, PA; maternal great grandmother, Anna Mary Nolt of Ephrata, PA; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Reiff, Lorissa Newswanger, 35, of Annville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA, from an accidental drowning. She was the wife of Daryl G. Reiff of Annville, PA. She was born in West Reading, PA, on February 26, 1983, a daughter of John and Louise Nolt Newswanger of Newmanstown, PA. She was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference, Lebanon, PA.

Reiff, Samuel N., 83, of New Holland, entered into rest at Hickory House, Honey Brook, on Friday, June 15, 2018. Born in Upper Leacock Twp., he was the son of the late Samuel and Susanna Nolt Reiff. He was the husband of the late Anna Z. Martin Reiff who died in 1975. Mr. Reiff was a self-employed farmer and truck driver hauling for various companies over the years. He enjoyed tractors and tractor pulls, raising rabbits, and winning at checkers.
Mr. Reiff will be lovingly missed by three children: Jerry married to Patti Reiff, Janie married to Rodney Horning, Ray Reiff, all of New Holland; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edna wife of the late Martin Hoover, Susanna wife of the late Isaac Hoover, both of New Holland; a daughter-in-law, Cindi Reiff, of Leola. A son, Elvin; brothers, Aaron and John; and sisters, Lizzie Martin and Ella Zimmerman preceded him in death.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola. Interment will be at the family's convenience.
Ressler, Elvin J., 78, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on December 14, 2018, at Fairmount Nursing Home, Ephrata, PA.
Elvin was born April 20, 1940, in Manheim Township, PA to Grube and Anna (Zimmerman) Ressler. He was a 1958 graduate of Ephrata High School and went on to receive his Associate of Science Degree from Penn State University, Berks. He worked as a test analyst for Case/New Holland retiring after 43 years of service. Elvin was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He belonged to the New Beginnings Brethren in Christ Church, of Ephrata, PA, and was active in the Evangelical Teacher Training Association. Elvin also was a longtime volunteer at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA and received their Volunteer of the Year Award.
Preceding Elvin in death were his parents and seven siblings John, Paul, Martin, Elmer, Melvin, Clarence and Anna Mae.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years Jeanne (Pawling) Ressler, five children, Michael E. Ressler (Julie Ann Koster) of Duarte, CA, Daniel E. Ressler (Jennifer Lysak) of Selinsgrove, PA, David S. Ressler (Lori J. Luther) of Lititz, PA, Joel S. Ressler, of Larimore, ND, Beth A. Ressler (Michael Johnson) of Juneau, AK, eight grandchildren, and his brother Harold Ressler.
Friends may gather for a memorial service January 4, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Speedwell Heights Brethren In Christ Church, 413 W. Brubaker Valley Road, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private.

Ressler, Pauline Good of Wadsworth entered eternal rest, January 18, 2018 at the home of her daughter, Carol, at the age of 92 years. She was born on April 11, 1925 to Abram and Elsie (Eberly) Good.
She was married to Allen Ressler on March 28, 1948. They shared 36 years together. Allen preceded her in death on March 28, 1984.
In her youth she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and conscientiously lived for Him all her life. She was a faithful member of the Maple Hill Mennonite Church.
Surviving are her seven children: Dana and wife Mary Jane of Newark, DE; Marilyn (Mrs. Clair Landis) of Saegertown, PA; Arlene (Mrs. Homer Amstutz) of Dalton, OH; Carol (Mrs. John Amstutz) of Wadsworth, OH; Ruby (Mrs. Clifford Weaver) of Waterloo, NY; Linda (Mrs. Kenneth Mast) of Tamaqua, PA; Lois (Mrs. Andrew Kraemer) of Sullivan, IL; 55 grandchildren and 150 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother-in-law, Raymond Horst of Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Mabel Wenger, Mary Wenger, Esther Good and Beulah (Horst) Amstutz; a stillborn daughter; a son-in-law, Homer Amstutz; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 10:00am at Northside Christian Church, 7615 Ridge Road, Wadsworth, Ohio with Maple Hill ministry officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, January 22, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Northside Christian Church.

Reynolds, Agnes Martin, Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Nappanee, passed away peacefully in her home in Phoenix on March 4, 2018 at the age of 75 years old. She was born July 26, 1942 in Nappanee to Irvin and Bertha Martin. On November 4, 1978, she married Cecil L. Reynolds and he passed away on April 28, 1994.
She is survived by her daughter Chrystal (Carl) Yoder of Nappanee; 4 granddaughters Calleigh, Cheyenne, Cherish, and Carlyana; 2 step-daughters Cheryl (Ben) Clabbatz and Connie (Lonnie) Jantci; 6 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings Ruth (Milton) Good, Dalton, OH; Mary Alice Martin, Nappanee, Indiana; Dorothy (Melvin) Shaum, Snover, Michigan; Norma (Roymand) Zimmerman, Snover, Michigan; Berdine (Merle) Ramer, New Paris, Indiana; Glen (Carolyn) Martin, Nappanee, Indiana; Elam (Judith) Martin, Richland Center, Wisconsin; Irvin Jr. (Velma) Martin, Nappanee, Indiana; Wayne (Elsie) Martin, Snover, Michigan; Larry Alan (Danette) Martin, Goshen, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Reynolds, brother-in-law Merle Ramer.
She worked as an RN at John C. Lincoln Hospital from 1969-1990, managed care from 1990-1996, Arizona Department of Developmentally Disabled from 1996 – until she retired in 2006. She will be remembered for volunteering her time at many different organizations, benefiting people far and wide. She attended Paradise Valley Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018 all at RMYC, 24647 CR 44, Nappanee. Rhodes, Robert William “Bob”, 61, of Bridgewater, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at his home. He was born in Bridgewater on April 6, 1956, to Mary Frances (Showalter) Rhodes of Dayton and the late Norman Rohrer Rhodes.
Bob was a poultry farmer. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church. He enjoyed his trout pond, strawberry patch, and quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was united in marriage on Sept. 18, 1976, to Nancy Marie (Showalter) Rhodes of Bridgewater.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are six children: Sheila Graber and husband, Joel, of Brooksville, Miss., Seth Rhodes and wife, Andrea, of Dayton, Ruth Anna Heatwole and husband, Eric, of Rockingham, Kara Orellana and husband, Jaime, of Weyers Cave, Claudia Martin and husband, Nathan, of Mount Solon, Charlotte Rhodes of Bridgewater and boyfriend, Adam Good; a brother, Donald Rhodes and wife, Lydia, of Bridgewater; five sisters: Shirley Shank and husband, Norwood, of Sangerville, Mary Jane Rhodes and husband, Sheldon, of Dayton, Sandra Shank and husband, Elvin, of Dayton, Bonnie Goering and husband, Jim, of Bridgewater and Carol Wenger and husband, Arnold, of Harrisonburg. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren: Georgiana, Talya and Delta Graber; Ava, Abigail, Presley and Matthew Rhodes; Elijah, Benjamin, Andrew and Anna Heatwole; Haylie Orellana; and Asher Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church Cemetery.

MIDDLEBURY - Glenn J. Riegsecker, 85, of Middlebury, died at 9:06 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at Elkhart General Hospital after a five-year battle with cancer.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1932, in Middlebury to Joseph and Katie (Kauffman) Riegsecker. On April 30, 1955, in White Pigeon, Michigan, he married Esther Graber. She survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter Sheryl (Charles) Horst; sons Randall (Sharon) Riegsecker, Robert (Lilly) Riegsecker; and daughter-in-law Kathy (Dave) Peachey, all of Middlebury; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Riegsecker of Middlebury, Gladys Miller of Shipshewana and Lucy Bontrager of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Rodney and Ronald Riegsecker; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Bridget Miller; two brothers, Harold and Vernon Riegsecker; and sister Ella Troyer.
Glenn’s faith and relationship with God was very important to him. He was a farmer and drove a school bus for many years for the Middlebury school system. He had also worked as a truck driver and in various RV factories in the area. He was a member of the Roselawn Conservative Mennonite Church, Middlebury, and wintered for 22 years with his wife in Sarasota, Florida. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. One of his favorite hobbies was to visit garage sales; many times he would end up fixing his newfound items and reselling them. His favorite items include watches that he would fix and donate to mission projects. He was very talented with his hands and often fixed many items for his family as well.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury. There also will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Oct. 3, also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Roselawn Ministry Team and his sons. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen.

Riegsecker, Norma J. Shrock, 78, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Friday, March 23, 2018.
She was born May 26, 1939 in Goshen to Verlin Shrock and Mary (Weaver) Shrock Risser.
On August 3, 1958 she married Marvin D. Riegsecker in Goshen. He died September 30, 2008.
Norma is survived by two sons, Steven (Andrea) Riegsecker of Chicago, Illinois, and Michael (Ann) Riegsecker of Appleton, Wisconsin; two grandsons, Alec and Drew, and a sister, Mary Helen (Dave) Davidsen of Goshen.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Shrock.
A 1957 graduate of Goshen High School, Norma devoted much of her married life to helping and supporting her husband, Marvin, in his work as a pharmacist, as an Elkhart County official, and as an Indiana State Senator. She volunteered with Center for Community Justice in Elkhart and, as an active member of College Mennonite Church, Norma was involved with the Stephen Ministries.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 9:30 a.m. prayer service will be held Thursday prior to burial in Violett Cemetery. An 11 a.m. memorial service at College Mennonite Church will follow the graveside service.

Pauline Fay Ringler, age 62 of Thorp passed away on Thursday, August 30,2018, at her residence.
Services were at 9:30 4.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Meadowbrook Mennonite Church in the Town of Withee. Bishop Elvin Fox, Henry Burkholdei1, Marvin Leid, Alvin Leid and John David Zimmerman officiated. Pallbearers were Edward Leid, Larry, David Lamar, Leonard, Verlin and Gerald Ringler. Visitation Was on Monday, September 3. 2018, from 2:00 p.m.. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the residence (W9315 Oak Road Thorp).
Pauline was born on January 12, 1956, the daughter of Ammon and Grace (Zimmerman) Shirk.
Pauline is survived by her husband, David W. Ringler; ten children: Larry Eugene (Esther) Ringler of Stanley, David Lamar (Karen) Ringler of Thorp, Lorraine (Edward) Leid of Withee, Leonard (Dorcas) Ringler of Thorp, Rosene (Lewis) Leid of Withee, Verlin (Louise) Ringler of Thorp1, Janetta Fay (Daniel) Brubacher of Thorp, Sharon (Mark) Leid of Thorp, Gerald (Joanne) Ringler of Thorp, Grace Ann (Marlin) Brubaker of Withee; and 67 grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers: Leon (Esther) Shirk of Withee, Ernest Shirk of Thorp and Vernon (Orpha) Shirk of; Owen; and five(sisters: Eva Mae (Jim) Pabicb, Ilene (David) Zimmerman, Lorene (Clair) Horst, Carolyn (Neil) Stauffer and Grace Ann (Leonard) Zimmerman.
She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Shirk; one grandson and one granddaughter.
Risser, Benjamin Meyers, 88, of Harrisonburg, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at Sentara RMH Medical Center. Mr. Risser was born April 19, 1929, in Hagerstown, Md., and was a son of the late Adin and Ida Meyers Risser.
On Nov. 19, 1950, he married the former Barbara Baer Hege, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Risser is survived by his children, Ben Risser and wife. Kathy, of Harrisonburg, Dave Risser and wife, Doris, of Wooster, Ohio, Phil Risser and wife, Pam, of Greencastle, Pa., Joy Yoder and husband, Elwood, of Harrisonburg, and Jewel Yutzy and husband, Dave, of Timberville; a sister, Cora Horst and husband, Edgar, of Hagerstown, Md.; 16 grandchildren, Autumn Isom and husband, Jeremy, Heather Harper and husband, Bryan, Alisha Justice and husband, Brent, Jon Risser and wife, Jonalyn, Mark Risser and wife, Laura, Daniel Risser and wife, Cara, Elizabeth Barthlow and husband, Jason, Lena Weaver and husband, Adam, Leah Risser, Amanda Risser, Nate Yoder and wife, Maggie, Maria Billings and husband, Aaron, Phil J. Yoder, Ben Yutzy and wife, Risa, Aaron Yutzy and wife, Andrea, Lauren Troyer and husband, Anthony; 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Showalter, Lois Horst and Esther Risser.
Benjamin Risser began his career as a farmer, then worked as a machinist at Mack Trucks and worked at Burkholders Floor Covering in Hagerstown, Md. Benjamin was an active member at Marion Mennonite Church, Marion, Pa., for many years. He and Barbara Risser moved to Harrisonburg in 2001 and have been active members at Zion Mennonite Church, Broadway, Va. Benjamin loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Helping others was a defining way of life for Benjamin, and he modeled humbly serving others in a sacrificial way. In his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at BookSavers of Virginia and at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. He was always well loved and will be greatly missed by family, neighbors, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 29, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday, March 30, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Mennonite Church with Pastor Mike Metzler officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Following a luncheon, the burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Lindale Mennonite Church.

LIGONIER - Troy E. Risser, 51, of Ligonier, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born Nov. 1, 1966, in Elkhart, to Wayne and Etta (Miller) Risser.
On July 29, 1989, he married Donna Nofziger in Goshen.
She survives along with two children, Chelsea Risser of Goshen and Nik Risser of Muncie; his parents, Wayne and Etta Risser of Elkhart; a brother, Eric (Tonya) Risser of Peoria, Arizona; and a sister, Jodi Risser of Elkhart.
He retired after 23 years of teaching from West Noble Primary School, Ligonier.
He also served as an assistant athletic director and coached softball and basketball.
He was a member of Benton Mennonite Church, Benton, where he sang in the Verse 4 quartet.
He enjoyed coaching and watching his children in many sports activities and would joke with all who knew him.
As he was fighting chronic illness, he kept a positive attitude and was an inspiration to those around him.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, funeral service at Waterford Mennonite Church, 65975 S.R. 15, Goshen.

Rissler, Ella M. Wanner, 78, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the home of Emma Shirk, where she resided.
Born in West Earl Township, she was a daughter of the late Daniel G. and Jannie B. (Martin) Wanner.
On November 14, 1965, she married the late Daniel N. Rissler.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel W. and Barbara A. (Stauffer) Rissler of Port Trevorton, five brothers and sisters, Ada Martin of Denver, Barbara Wanner of Cerulean, KY, Martin, husband of Sally Wanner of Port Trevorton, Anna Martin of Cerulean, KY, and John, husband of Rose Wanner of Port Trevorton; four sisters-in-law, Martha Wanner of Tennessee, Sadie Wanner of Ephrata, Ruth Wanner and Anny Mary Wanner, both of Port Trevorton; four grandsons, Daniel S., Leroy S., Adam S., and Matthew S. Rissler; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, Daniel, William, Samuel and Aaron Wanner; one sister, Mary M. Wanner; and two brothers-in-law, Daniel Rissler and Levi Martin.
Friends and family will be received at 54 E. Farmersville Road from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 pm, on Tuesday, December 18th. Services will be held at the home of Emma Shirk December 19th at 12:30 pm, with further services at 1:15 at Groffdale Frame Mennonite Church, 90 Groffdale Church Road, Leola.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Thelma Louise (Roupp) Rivera, 85, fomerly of Elkhart, passed away June 16, 2018, in San Juan.
She is survived by her husband, Julio Rivera, her daughters, Rita (Rivera) Carnero and Anita (Rivera) Rodriguez, and her grandchildren, JD, Michael, Andrew and Cadiz.
Thelma resided in Elkhart until the fall of 1969.
She was a member of Prairie Street Mennonite Church and alumni of Goshen College.
Thelma’s memorial service took place on June 23 at 2nd Union Church in San Juan.
Rodes, Daniel David, 79, of Mount Crawford, passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018. He was born in Pleasant Valley on March 21, 1938, and was a son of the late David Michael and Naomi Ruth (Koogler) Rodes.
Daniel was a bishop over numerous churches in the U.S. and overseas. He co-founded with his wife Estdan Printers, Dandee Printing, Truth, Light and Life Mission and Truth, Light and Life Ministries International and had a daily radio broadcast sharing the gospel.
He was united in marriage on Nov. 29, 1961, to Esther Marie (Hege) Rodes, who preceded him in death on Nov. 27, 2012.
Surviving are two daughters, Ellen Auville and husband, Raymond, of Elkton, and Naomi Riehl and husband, Mahlon, of Mount Crawford; two sons, Robert Rodes and wife, Lera, of Indiana, and James Rodes and wife, Esther, of McGaheysville; a daughter-in-law, Leah Rodes; three sisters, Martha Burkholder, Rhoda Bennett, and Ruby Beachy; and three brothers, John Rodes, Noah Rodes and Adin Rodes. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; foster daughter, Carole Gardner; and numerous foster children.
He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Rodes; granddaughter, Priscilla Rodes; six sisters, Priscilla Beery, Catherine Rodes, Ruth Groff, Anna Lehman, Esther Good and Iva Beachy; and two brothers, Aaron Rodes and Joseph Rodes.
A funeral service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 546 W. Mosby Road, Harrisonburg, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, with Reuben Esh and Mahlon Riehl officiating. Burial will follow at Early Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater.

Rohrer, David Franklin, 78, a resident of Dayton, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Rohrer was born March 15, 1939, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Frank Israel and Annie Marie Knicely Rohrer.
He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.
On Aug. 24, 1960, he married the former Martha Ann Wenger, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Clifford Rohrer and wife, Carolyn, of Dayton, Arlin Rohrer and wife, Betty, of Dayton, Wilma Shank and husband, Douglas, of Hinton, Larry Rohrer and wife, Patricia, of Dayton, and Don Rohrer and wife, Louella, of Dayton; his siblings, Esther Wenger, Paul Rohrer and wife, Esther, Ina Wenger, Mattie Wenger, Ivan Rohrer and wife, Elizabeth, Raymond Rohrer and wife, Mary, all of Dayton, and Stanley Rohrer of Harrisonburg; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rohrer was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Rohrer; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Isaiah Rohrer; and three brothers-in-law, Aaron Wenger, Dwight Wenger, John Wenger.
The ministers of the church will conduct a funeral service Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Rohrer, Frank William, 96, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at his home. Mr. Rohrer was born July 8, 1921, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late William Rhodes and Annie Elizabeth Jones Rohrer.
He was a self-employed contractor, furniture craftsman and a member of the Riverdale Old Order Mennonite Church.
On Feb. 11, 1948, he married the former Hettie Beery, who preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 2004.
Surviving are his children, Vernon Rohrer and wife, Anna, of Dayton, Eva R. Hummel of Rockingham, Edith R. Burkholder and husband, Leon, of Dayton, Jane R. Mace and husband, Gerald, of Mount Sidney and Wilda Sue R. Knicely and husband, Lloyd, of Dayton; siblings, Hazel Wenger of Dayton, Ethel Wenger of Rockingham, M. Evelyn Wenger and husband, Lloyd, and Annie Wenger and husband, Neil, all of Dayton; a sister-in-law, Ruth Rohrer of Dayton; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two infant children; his siblings, Ruby Martin, Grace Showalter, Gilbert Rohrer, Daniel Rohrer, A. Evangeline Horst, Alice Heatwole and Joseph Rohrer; and a son-in-law, Irvan Hummel.
The ministers of the church will conduct a funeral service at the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The body will be taken to the home on Thursday, where friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday until 8 p.m.

Rohrer, Jean Marie Baer Hofer, age 70, was born July 22nd, 1947, at Carlisle, PA, fifth daughter of Mervin and Fannie (Rife) Baer. After a 5-year battle with cancer, she passed into glory on February 20, 2018 in her home at Browerville, MN, surrounded by her loving family.
Jean accepted Christ as her Savior at age 11, was baptized as a member of the Churchtown Mennonite Church in PA, and was faithful to God until death. In 1962 she moved with her family to McBride, BC as part of the "evangelization by colonization" efforts of the 1960s. On July 2, 1972, she married Daniel John Hofer, son of John and Leila (Porter) Hofer from Stirling, Alberta. As a young married couple they helped form the charter membership of Danksin Mennonite Church, in Danskin, BC. To this union were born three children, Titus Daniel, Martha Jean, and Judith Marie. In 1980 the family moved to LaCrete, in northern Alberta, where Dan was ordained minister and served faithfully until his death in a logging accident at age 33 on Feb. 19th, 1985.
On August 2, 1986, Jean married Marvin Rohrer, minister from Grandin, MO, and counted his daughter Rosanne May, as one of her own children. In 1990 Marvin and Jean adopted a sibling group of five. Sherry Anne, Tim Lee, William Ray, Jeanny Gail, and Angela Dawn, and also counted each one of them as her own. In 1999, Marvin and Jean moved to LaGlace, Alberta, where Marvin served in the ministry at the Prairie Light Mennonite Church until their move to Browerville, MN in 2011. Marvin and Jean enjoyed various service opportunities including the foreign missions in Uganda, Dominican Republic, and England.
Jean will be deeply missed by her husband Marvin; 9 children: Titus and his wife Carol, of Sligo, PA; Martha, and her husband Roderick Bauman of Salmon Arm BC; Rosanne and her husband Lawrence Troyer of Browerville, MN; Judith and her husband Raine Poole of Fairfield, MT; Sherry, of Mountain View, MO; Tim of Brooten, MN; Willy and his wife, Becky of Armstrong, BC; Jeanny of Leburn, KY; and Angela and her husband, James Sadler of Helena, OH. Jean was a beloved grandma to 29 grandchildren. She is also survived by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
In addition to her parents and first husband, Jean was preceded in death by a brother, an infant sister, and a grandson, Grant Daniel Poole.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Living Waters congregation for their love and assistance over the time of Jean's illness and passing, and to the relatives, friends, and neighbors, who loved Jean and showed their faithful support.
Rohrer, Vera J. Martin, age 82, of Cochranville, PA, passed away at Fairmount Homes under Hospice Care on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was the wife of Elvin M. Rohrer, Jr., with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage on October 8th. She was born in East Earl, daughter of the late Aaron S. & Mabel A. Ludwig Martin. She was a member of Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship and in the past was a member of Stumptown and Mt. Vernon Mennonite Church.
Vera had the gift of hospitality operating Elver Valley Cabin and B & B. She and Elvin dairy farmed together for over 40 years. She volunteered at West Fallowfield Christian School and Black Rock Retreat.
Surviving besides her husband are 5 children: Judy A. (James) Diller of Hagerstown, MD, Linda K. (David) Longenecker of New Glarus, WI, Charlene L. (Merle) Ranck of Christiana, Jay E. (June Lehman) Rohrer of Mt. Joy, Gerald E. (Cindy Kreider) Rohrer of Cochranville, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother George L. Martin.
Funeral service will take place from Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird In Hand, PA on Tuesday, November 13th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Pastors Vernon Myers and John Aukema will be officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Rolon, Samuel, 83, of Hatfield, PA died October 19, 2018. He was born October 18, 1935 at Aibonito, Puerto Rico to Eugenio and Juana Rolon. On July 21, 1961 he was married to Dorcas Emma Yoder, who was born June 6, 1931 and survives.
Surviving are children, Juanita Emma Santiago and her husband Noel; Nancy Rolon Wingfield; Pedro Samuel Rolon and his wife Ana; and Rosalie Rolon-Dow and her husband Leonard; 11 grandchildren; and siblings, Maria (Guimba) Martinez, Jose Luis (Tito) Rolon.
A sister, Antonia (Toñita) Rolon preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held October 23, 2018 at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, Blooming Glen, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Rudy, Marion E. Breckbill, 90, formerly of Ephrata, passed away peacefully at Landis Homes, Lititz on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Born in Willow Street, she was the daughter of the late David and Anna Leaman Breckbill. She was the loving wife of Clarence E. Rudy for 67 years. In her earlier years, Marion worked at the former Ohio Table Pad, Leola and was the owner of Marion's Draperies. She graduated from the former East Lampeter High School in 1945. Marion was an active and faithful member of the Lititz Mennonite Church where she helped with decorations and funeral luncheons and enjoyed her share group. Her interests included flower arranging and gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Julia A. Weller companion of Richard Abrams of Quakertown, Kathleen A. wife of Alan E. Miller of Akron, Kenneth C. husband of Pamela Menges Rudy of Millersburg and Mary Ann wife of Mark Palladino of Barto, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel L. Rudy, a sister, Alice Charles and four brothers, Parke, Raymond, Willis and Richard Breckbill.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marion's memorial service at Landis Homes, WEST BETHANY CHAPEL, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service. Interment will be private at Eby Cemetery, Leola. Ruhl, Harold M., 85, formerly of Smoketown, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Lititz. Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Signor Francis and Barbara Miller Ruhl. He was the husband of Rachel Hess Ruhl, and celebrated 65 years of marriage in June.
A graduate of Mount Joy High School where he received an Industrial Arts Award, he also took courses at Penn State University. Over the years, he valued education and took courses in public speaking and agriculture. He was brought up in the family business of Ruhl's Flowers, Mount Joy, and worked for DHIA for two years. He spent most of his adult life as a self-employed florist of Ruhl's Greenhouses in Smoketown.
Harold spent over 40 years as treasurer for Witmer Fire Company. A member of James St. Mennonite Church, Lancaster, he was active in his church and supported mission trips, Youth for Christ and WorldTeam missionaries to Haiti. For over 14 years, Harold volunteered with the Mennonite Resource Center and wove rugs out of old jeans. A softball player for most of his adult life, Harold sponsored Little League teams and Ruhl's Raiders in the New Danville Softball League. He pitched for the Smoketown Oldtimers and loved going to Harrisburg Senators' games. He enjoyed woodworking and made furniture for family over the years. At Brethren Village, he enjoyed Wii Bowling and was part of a championship team. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, travel and puzzles. He loved going to the mountains and watching wildlife.
Harold treasured time spent with his family, friends, and his dogs. He lived a full and satisfying life. He left a legacy of family and friends who respect him for his devotion to his faith and to those around him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: children, H. Suzanne wife of Kenneth B. Hess, Barbara J. wife of Mark S. Andrews, Amy L. wife of Brian G. French, H. Michael husband of Alba M. Buck Ruhl; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: a son, Phillip Signor Ruhl; three brothers, J. Robert, Charles P., and James M. Ruhl.
Funeral services will be held from the Chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, on Saturday, August 11th at 10 am with interment following in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Rush, Raymond F., 75, of Perkasie, PA died July 28, 2018. He was born June 5, 1943 at Doylestown, PA to Elwyn Y. and Bertha (Moyer) Rush. On November 7, 1964 he was married to Shirley M. Rosenberger, who was born October 8, 1945 and died August 9, 2018.
Surviving are children, Dale Rush and his wife Connie; Brenda Rush and companion Brad Nace; and Charlene Burke and her husband Mark; four grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Ann McGuigan, and a brother, Kenneth E. Rush and his wife Darlene "Dolly."
Two brothers, Willard E. Rush and Ervin L. Rush preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held August 2, 2018 at Dock Woods Community Chapel, Lansdale, PA.
Rush, Shirley M. Rosenberger, 72, of Perkasie, PA died August 9, 2018. She was born October 8, 1945 at Sellersville, PA to Stanley Rosenberger and Alice (Moyer, Rosenberger) Bolton. On November 7, 1964 she was married to Raymond F. Rush, who was born June 5, 1943 and died July 28, 2018.
Surviving are children, Dale Rush and his wife Connie; Brenda Rush and companion Brad Nace; and Charlene Burke and her husband Mark; and four grandchildren.
A brother, Merrill Rosenberger, and a sister, Marilyn Rosenberger preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held August 12, 2018 at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, Blooming Glen, PA.
Rutt, Earl B., 83, of Lancashire Hall, formerly of Clay, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
He was born in West Cocalico Twp. to the late John N. and Lydia (Burkholder) Rutt.
He was a member of Springville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conf.). Earl was a farmhand.
Earl is survived by seven siblings, Anna B., wife of the late Irvin Zimmerman, Alverta B., wife of the late John Burkholder, Elam B., husband of Joann (Martin) Rutt, Leah B., wife of Clair S. Zimmerman, Louella B., wife of Glenn M. Zimmerman, Frances B., wife of Phares Z. Musser, Marlene B., wife of Marlin L. Martin and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ervin B. Rutt.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 5 to 8 PM at the Lincoln Christian Home, 1307 Apple Street, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018, 10:00 AM at the Springville Mennonite Church, 580 Springville Rd., Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
